Resistance welding is a method for compressing workpieces to be welded between two electrodes, adding current and heating them to a molten or plastic state by using resistance heat effects generated when the current flows through workpiece contact surfaces and adjacent areas so as to form metal binding.

Tungsten-copper electrodes have integrated good properties of tungsten and copper, and feature high-temperature resistance, arc ablation resistance, high strength, large specific gravity, good electric and heat conductivity and easy processing. Moreover, according to its functions such as pseudo soldering as well as the features of high tungsten hardness, high melting point and adhesion resistance, it can be frequently used as butt welding electrodes with a certain wear resistance as well as high/low-temperature resisting welding.
