Waveguide is applied to oriented guidance for the structures of electromagnetic waves.
Waveguide elements are basic functional parts of microwave circuits made of hollow metallic waveguides or cavities, etc. Waveguide elements can form various waveguide networks or be connected into various microwave circuits; its effects are very similar to those of resistors, inductors, capacitors, resonance circuits and so on at low frequency, but most of waveguide elements are elements with distributed parameters. Usually, waveguide only has the effect of transmitting microwave signals or power, while waveguide elements can control the transmitted microwave signals or power to complete wave mode conversion, impedance allocation, frequency diversity or power distribution and various other functions.
Tungsten-molybdenum materials can be used for manufacturing waveguide elements used under some special conditions.
